Don't forget to visit Piediluco's cowntryside, where you'll find a nice village facing the omonimous lake, the most suggestive of the center of italy. It's coloured houses, the one next to the other, shrinked by narrow streets, steps, arcs... everything pending from the mountains.


Interesting ski resort a few kilometers from Rieti, Terminillo has a cable car and ski lifts for downhill skiing, as well as excellent cross-country skiing.

During non-winter, Terminillo offers many excellent opportunities for hiking and walking, made pleasant by the coolness of the mountain.


Anciently called Reate, Rieti city lies on a small mountain sorrounded by a wide lowland next Terminillo Mountain, crossed by Velino's river. The tradition defines Rieti mbilicus Italiae.

The city, full of fascinating historical sites, is enclosed by walls almost intact and it's known throughout the world for gliding. Particularly interesting are the visits to "Rieti underground".
